His Way...Notes from a Journey through the wilderness.
Comments from the first class when asked of their opinions regarding their studies of His Way, and author Kay:
What are your thoughts about the book so far?
* Guide sheet for daily Living. Strive to act and react as Jesus did.
* I can't begin to explain. I have grown up in church all my life. Yet, I have never understood the Bible. I have tried to be a great Christian, but I didn't know how to read it, understand, or have an actual "relationship" with God. Now, I am being shown to read a passage, be still, and know he is near. I listen, and then write down my thoughts, or in this case...His!
* This book has so far opened some door's on issues where I see how God has pushed me to think differently and handle situations better. Also, it has made me realize I have a lot of work to do to walk better with Christ.
* It is great for someone who like me, is very new to building a relationship. It is broken down and explained so clearly. I am thankful for this book for awakening a part in my heart, and the desire to get to know Him.
Have you gained any insight as to your life or current circumstance?
* Absolutely. I feel I am more calm and relaxed now than I have been. I do not feel so anxious. If I am having a difficult day, I am able to open my book and find answers. I am also more interested in reading the excerpt and then reading more in my bible. I feel like a better, whole person.
* I feel like this book has really touched my life in different ways. It has shown my that the scripture can be applied in many aspects of my life.
* Work harder to keep working toward the dream God gave me. Preparing daily to get there.
* I haven't been as faithful as I should have been as to daily reading, listening for/to God, and writing. But, just being in Kay's presence, I know that her vision from God is real. More real than anything I have ever heard- and that gives me the want, the need, to have a better relationship- a real one- with God.
Is this experience changing thoughts as to scripture and more interested in God's word?
* It has made me dive deeper in the scripture and made me want to know the before and after of the scripture I have read.
* Strive harder to hear & do God's will. Peace in my heart let others see it. No matter the circumstance.
* Yes, after I began to read, His Way, I actually got my first bible. I find myself reaching for my bible often to seek clarification. It has become a staple in my life. His Way has opened that door for me to begin my journey with Him.
*Absolutely! I went to church, I did the right things, I prayed, but that is where it ended. I did not have a relationship with God, now I am trying!
